INTRODUCTION
The Croatian Society of Surgery of the Croatian Medical Association represents the expert body of surgeons from all surgical fields. It continuously encourages collaboration and exchange of information among colleagues. The Society also strives to develop a positive relationship between more experienced and young surgeons in order to use the priceless practical knowledge of the former. Our intention is to jointly improve the surgical profession, primarily for the benefit of our patients.
These are the main reasons why we organize scientific meetings, national and international congresses, and why we publish Acta Chirurgica Croatica, the official journal of the Society.
